Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. My teaching style places emphasis on relationship building, knowledge grabbing and demonstration. Developing a relationship includes relatability, comfort & communication. Here humor is used. Smiles & laughs always lessens the stress & makes learning enjoyable. In addition, time-management and the setting of daily goals together encourages the info retention. Having taken lessons on several instruments and being self-taught on others I understand that the most important thing a teacher can instill in their student is 1) the basic knowledge to understand the instrument, and 2) the passion to discover and teach themselves. After all, discovery is a far more effective teacher than instruction. I believe it is my job to guide a student onto the right track with a basic knowledge-base, and teach them to love music.
