There is a constant latency during live streamed lessons and that's why accommodating new ways to approach the listening/Play are so important. My extensive background in performance of Rock, Country, Jazz, Funk, etc. provides the flexibility to focus on each students particular area of interest. I believe in helping students understand the basics of theory and technique to ensure there is a foundation to practice and maximize improvement. Hello! I'm a recent graduate from Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental/Choral/General Education finishing up my student teaching. My teaching style is very simple. With the fundamentals in place, it's possible to learn any song you want to. If there's a song that goes beyond a student's fundamentals, then that's what we'll learn next. As my music teachers told me, if you listen to a record and you find something on it that you don't know how to play, go back and learn how to do it!
