Clarinet for Beginners by Avrahm Galper is the method book that has given students a foundation for whatever level they aspire to achieve. Students are encouraged to tell me what they would like to play. Overcoming performance anxiety is an important skill. I was still taking private lessons at the time; as my skill level advanced, my teacher saw my potential as a teacher and started referring some beginning students to me. Throughout college, I gained experience working with youth and adult students of all levels. This way, students experience fewer setbacks and gain confidence quickly.With experienced students, I focus more on playing with emotion and musicianship, starting with musical elements like dynamics, articulation, and air support. I am a young and easygoing instructor looking for beginner and intermediate students to teach and introduce to music. I am a recent graduate from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. I recently moved to Washington State with my partner for job opportunities in the state.
