I have had plenty of experience teaching both privately and in a classroom setting. I began teaching private lessons on the piano and violin in high school, where I mainly had elementary school beginners. In college, I continued to teach private lessons and also had plenty of opportunities to work with students of all different ages and skill levels in a variety of settings. I'm a young teacher who loves working with students and instilling my passion of music in them. I have been involved in music since the age of 5, and received my Bachelors of Music Education degree from Western Carolina University in 2018. My teaching style is kind, respectful, nurturing, and encouraging while also demanding. My greatest pleasure and joy in teaching is when I see and hear the student make obvious progress. A trust is built, both initially and over time, where the student and teacher understand the balance between fun and serious study.
