I am a positive and encouraging instructor, and emphasize proper technique, music theory, and fundamentals through a variety of musical styles ranging from classical to popular music. My students are all ages (I once had a student start at the age of 70!) and come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. I work with students to help them balance a practice schedule with the rest of their lives. My teaching career started while studying abroad in Guadalajara Mexico, I taught Solfege and helped the chorus out in Hermilo Hernandez institute of music, then went on to teach private lessons to beginner cello students there as well. when I came back to El Paso Tx, I joined the ASTA Group and we helped lower-income students by providing after school classes for no charge. I work closely with both student and parent to create obtainable goals that students can focus on so they can see their progression throughout each lesson. I find out what inspires them and tailor each lesson to their wants and needs. I Started with music 17 years now . I began age 10 with cello. 2 years later started the guitar. Picked up along the way electric bass, upright bass, ukulele , mandolin , banjo, basic piano and learning accordion. All middle and high school was in the orchestra. Graduated 2009, then attended Lone-star for 2 years taking music classes. I was in a band for about 3 years. We did some events, but then I decide to leave.
