I began teaching in high school, helping my fellow guitar players and others in band and jazz band. I continued off and on through college, and became a full time private lesson teacher not long after graduating. I'm a fun and energetic guitarist who specializes in gypsy jazz and music composition. I play in several swing bands around Portland and have been for over 10 years. I have a Bachelor of Music in music composition from PSU university. Creativity is our true nature. My lessons facilitate and nurture the true spirit of music from "outside of the box." Teaching songwriting is my favorite, but I can also teach basic intruments to beginners who are just getting started. I spent 4 decades writing songs and playing in bands. In the 2010s I had a radio program called "Jupiter's Jamboree" which ran live every Saturday night for 2 hours for 7 years.
