I am a well rounded and accomplished musician, and able to demonstrate advanced proficiency in music theory, composition and performance. My professional teaching experience dates back to 2002 and I have been fortunate to have been a full time music educator and private music lesson instructor since then. I started taking private music lessons at age 7 and never stopped! From piano, to flute, and eventually to electric bass and upright bass. Supplemented by music programs through my schooling, I progressed rapidly on upright bass, starting at age 15, and graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance. Starting in high school I began teaching students as young as 6 and as old as 65, providing in-home guitar and bass lessons. I have taught guitar since I was 16 years old. I have taught private lessons and have also directed music ensembles such as a rock band summer camp. I teach students of all ages and all skill levels. My Experience with private guitar instruction began when I was attending the Jazz Program at MDCC. I worked in a small music store and realized that teaching was one of the best ways for me to share my love for music with others. The excitement of seeing someones eyes light up when they figure out a new chord, solo or song was very motivating to continue my teaching career.
