My teaching style is all about enjoying music and the instrument. I can pick up when a student is frustrated, confused or embarrassed and adjust the lesson accordingly. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Piano or Guitar Lessons for the Young Beginner by Andrew Scott and Gary Turner. The student, even at a young age, learns an introduction to music theory. Each concept is taught in a very methodical and step-by-step approach. I have also writtien out my own music books that I can edit on my computer and update for each student. beyond using a book, we will also learn scales, chords, rhythm, and music theory.
