With my bass students, I begin with basic technique and ear training. My first goal for a student is to learn one of their favorite simple folk songs by ear, while also developing basic musical skills and instrumental technique. I believe that it is extremely important to begin developing a students aural abilities and creativity early on. In general, I aim to incorporate age/skill appropriate elements of formal note reading, songs of interest, and improvisation into each lesson. I have found that this combination can go a long way in helping students enjoy the overall experience, and motivate them to practice so they will continue to learn/build their skills and enjoyment. I studied with renowned educator Basil Ronzitti from 1997 to 2000. I studied musical composition with Dr. Albert Glinsky from 2002 to 2005. I was the house pianist at CrayZParrot lakeside restaurant from 2006 to 2014. I record music for various church choirs in the tri-state area. I compose, perform and record commercial jingles for radio and TV. Some of my clients are The YMCAs of Greater Erie and WSEE.
