Great musicians play with passion and I love sharing that with students. I graduated from the University of Missouri in 2016 with a Bachelor of Music in String Bass performance. I have always enjoyed exploring new places and meeting new people throughout my performance career. I have played in many regions of the US and in China with the string bass and it has given me a incredibly rewarding career. I have a strong passion towards music that developed early as a child. During my life i have had the opportunity to take lessons from some of the greatest guitar players that ive ever heard and integrate their teaching methods and styles into my lessons. Recently ive played with 2 of the top 3 wedding bands in the Northeast (Boston Commen and Park Street Band) all of these things have pushed my limits musically to allow me to play a broad range of music. Different methods for different needs is how I help each person learn for maximum enjoyment and success. I include stretching, finger exercises, focusing tools, and relaxation techniques. Music pieces and techniques may include portions of method books, classical pieces, popular songs, and self-written songs. I teach beginners to read music (even if they cannot read words yet) and to play creatively, by ear (even if they can already read music.) But most importantly, I help students learn to play music for FUN. "Practicing" is called "Playing at Home," and I encourage finding non-stressful ways of sharing one's love of music with others.
