Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. After over7+ years of teaching and over 20+ years of musical expereince, I have combined the use of numerous books into my own method. Much of what I have learned also comes from personal expereince. I use audio tracks I record in my studio to give students the experience of playing with other musicians. PIANO STUDENTS: For beginners, I prefer the Bastien series. I like a lot of variety but am very careful to not give too much at once. It is better to become excellent at each thing slowly, than try to do a lot and not be that good at any of it. I am a stickler for starting out with scales and theory right away. I am a graduate from Texas AM University Kingsville. I studied with soprano Dr. Melinda Brou during my undergraduate years. I received my BM in 2013, and I am now working on my MM at the University of Texas at Austin where I study under the direction of baritone David Small.
