I love to inspire my students in a nurturing, encouraging and supportive environment. I want the student to feel confident in their growth and progress, and to trust their own voice or guitar playing and creativity. I will teach each individual at their own pace and when I see they are ready to move forward, we will move forward slowly and easily so that the student feels the pace is excellent for their own growth and development. Instruments: Voice
For beginning students I like to teach basic techniques. Scales, breathing, knowledge etc. Once the student starts to get comfortable with the beginning stages I introduce songs that I believe will challenge their voice. I listen, critique, and offer knew options of note placement & tone. My goal is not to change the way the student sings but to enhance it and clean it up. For adults I like to do my own scale that I have created that open the vocal chords and increases range both low and high. Read More

My teaching style is flexible depending on your needs. If you need a more strict style (perhaps you are working on college audition), then I'll make sure you have the proper technique, repetoire, sight reading, and skills needed to succeed. If piano is more of a hobby than a career path, we can work with that as well! Everyone has a different style depending on their needs. Read More

My teaching style is a something I consider to be a hybrid: I combine the academic knowledge I have gained since I started my first piano lesson at four years old, along with the real life experience I obtained as a full-time traveling musician. I take this unique style of teaching and apply it in a very engaging and stimulating learning environment. I like to use the Kodak Method of Education when approaching the teaching of younger students. Read More
