I began teaching in 2005 as an undergraduate student and have taught consistently since, in both private and group lessons. I focus on Suzuki and traditional methods, depending on the needs of the student. I believe that all students learn differently and that lessons must be flexible to accommodate the learning style of each individual student. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 5 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. My earliest teaching experience began in high school while teaching several middle school groups for the local zone concerts. I have taught several lesson plans in the Washoe County School district and successfully completed a 14 week internship teaching orchestra at Depoali MS and McQueen HS. I have been a counselor at Lake Tahoe Music Camp for two years now and plan to complete my third and final year this summer. Read More

I have to approach individually to each of them according to their characters, temperament, abilities to learn in order to choose the program for them. I always inspire my students to progress in the world of music, encourage them to learn and practice more.
