I love to keep the fundamentals in mind with scales and etudes fit for the student's skill level, and leverage those through a performance piece of choice, be it mine or yours (with blessings). I started playing the violin at the age of 8 and now I have been playing it for 30 years. I started working with children when I turned 19 and to this day I have never stopped. I studied and worked at the same time, as well as playing in an orchestra, and I developed a strong work ethic. I use Suziki Violin Method, Bastian for piano. I have also been developing my own method, and it's dependant in the students agenda. I encourage the building of reperatore early on. I have also used Liytle Einstein piano method and varies products produced by Hal Leonard. I find the students goals are very formative to the approach I choose to take. Teacher interaction with hands-on at lessons: In order to help students understand the feeling of correct violin playing, I occasional assist them in such ways as guiding the bow, hands, and arms.
