Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Instruments: Violin, Electric Violin, Music
For beginning students, I start with the Suzuki Method, a learning tool that I myself was taught as a beginner. Once the student has gained confidence and ease on the instrument, I delve into standard solo repertoire, beginning with Classical era pieces to work on tone, intonation, and bow control, then moving towards more Romantic Era pieces as well as technically advanced show pieces. Throughout all levels, I focus on body control and awareness to maintain relaxation, while still getting power. Read More

I give Suzuki violin, viola and cello lessons. I also use classical method with scales, etudes and solo pieces in my teaching as another option. With fiddle students I use Ann Wheeler method books. My piano students use Faber piano series. My Guitar students use Hal Leonard guitar method and guitar song collections. Ukulele students start with Alfred's ukulele method and more advanced students use Greg Horne and Shana Aisenberg Books 1-3. Read More

When I was four years old, I sat down at the piano for the first time. The first time I pressed a key, I knew that I had a passion for music that would span my lifetime. A few years later, I took up flute and violin and joined local ensembles. I have traveled around the west coast performing classical, jazz, pop, and folk music. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Piano Adventures by Nancy Faber. I introduce rhythm reading, music composition, and basic music theory in the first year. I focus on effective practice techniques. My students learn the skills of practice routine that build measurable and gratifying progress from week to week. For advanced students and adults, we explore what the students are interested in. I design my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging in fun no matter the ability level. Read More

When I teach I enjoy seeing my students express their emotions through their music, and develope a passion for their instrument. That passion is so very magical, and I aim to encourage this with personalized lesson plans hinging off of the musical stylings of a musicians that my student is interested in so they can begin to build a unique and passionate style of their own.
