Im a passionate teacher and professional multi-instrumentalist. I graduated with a Bachelor in Violin Performance from Appalachian State University in 2012 and have since performed classically with orchestras in eastern Tennessee and across North Carolina as well as with a professional wedding ensemble. Im also active within the Asheville music scene as a bluegrass/folk/Americana musician with two projects, Old Sap and The Jackson Grimm band. If I ever sense that the student is becoming frustrated or isn’t practicing, I consider it my responsibility to get them back on track. For beginners, especially children of 3, 4 and 5 years old, we do everything through play, rhythm, drawing, listening to music and correct placement of both hands on the violin and bow through various exercises. After age of 6, they are start introduce to music theory, notes, the basics of rhythm in my various ways. We learn about the violin , the settings, the way of playing,etc. My method is classical music through which you learn all the rules of music and the proper way to play the instrument. Read More

I begin teaching fine arts music in 1990. It was one of two jobs I had at the time. I worked for " Yje School of Gone Arts" in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for a few years.
