Each student is unique and special to me. When they enter my studio, I want them to enjoy every moment of the lesson. The student's individual personality guides me in the way I conduct each teaching session. Whether they want to play an Elton John song, a Chopin Nocturne in Eb, a Miles Davis jazz piece, or the Moonlight Sonata, I will guide them along the way. I began teaching beginner piano when I was in middle school and caught the teaching bug! (My dad was a high school choir teacher for thirty-five years, so I must have caught it from him.) Now I teach violin/fiddle, voice and piano. I believe that learning classical music and sight reading are both fundamentals to begin learning any instrument.
