Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

My love of music grew as a child having a family supportive of music education. I see the participation in playing musical instruments as much of a fun activity as it is a physical and mental workout. After receiving my Associate in Science in Music I went straight into a studio and started teaching a range of students from 4 - 24 years old, and from the never-picked-up-an-instrument-before to I-can't-wait-for-the-competition levels. I started teaching in high school because I was trying to save up money to buy a lot of new music equipment. I taught on and off for about a year. I really enjoy helping people realize their potential and showing them how to unlock a piece of music that a first may have seemed almost impossible to learn. I encourage my students to go out and play for as many people they can so that they can lessen their nerves and learn about music performance which is an important aspect in the musical career world. I began giving lessons in my 2nd semester in college. I have been able to meet people from all walks of life and given lessons to students from ages 3 to 68. I read a great amount of classical literature and study allot of history; I say this to acknowledge the fact that I don't only teach proficiency in the music discipline. I do this to feed the mind a series of intellectual thought that will help the student to question and meditate on new ideas. Read More

I am a musician originally from Mexico, I have performed in Latin america and Europe. I am currently Principal viola with Symphony of the Americas and part of the Con Brio Quartet. Besides teaching and performing in orchestra I am also very active as a recitalist and chamber musician. This 2019-2020 season I have performances in Florida, Georgia, North Dakota, Virginia, Maryland, Arizona and France. Includes cities like Washington DC and Paris. Read More

Peter P, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He recently completed a Professional Performers Certificate from Lynn University where he studied with Marc Reese of the Empire Brass before relocating to Houston. He has performed at principal trumpet with the Detroit Symphony Civic Orchestra, the Philharmonia of Kansas City, the Chautauqua Festival Orchestra, and the Texas Festival Orchestra. Read More
