I use a variety of different methods and I tailor my curriculum to each individual student, offering you a personalized approach that is unique to your personality and learning style. I teach repertoire from the Suzuki Violin School and Barbara Barber's Solos for Young Violinists, I also like to incorporate other styles if the student is interested, such as fiddle and bluegrass, and even pop and Disney songs. I also use etude and scale books to help build and enhance certain techniques, such as Wolfhart Etudes, Barber Barber Scales for Young Violinist, Carl Flesch Scale System, etc., depending on the level and individual needs of the student. I have been playing the violin for the past nine years and have had four excellent violin instructors, each with different backgrounds and approaches to violin instruction. Because of this, I have had well-rounded education in the violin which is a great benefit in my violin teaching. Up to this point, I have taught violin to six different students and have seen each of them make remarkable progress. I'm a young teacher who loves working with students and instilling my passion of music in them. I have been involved in music since the age of 5, and received my Bachelors of Music Education degree from Western Carolina University in 2018. Through my experiences there, I was able to perform across the state of North Carolina, as well as tours in South Carolina, Florida, and take part in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2014.
