I have been teaching professionally for 11 years. Before I began my professional teaching career I already had several years of experience instructing my two younger siblings in violin and cello, even serving as a primary instructor to one of the siblings at one point. I have mainly taught private lessons out of my home. However, I was also a violin teaching assistant at the University of Oklahoma, I have helped teach private and group classes for music camps and events across the country, and am currently employed at School of Creative Arts in Cary. Teaching violin has been one of the most meaningful parts of my musical journey. I’ve been teaching privately for over ten years, working with students of all ages and levels—from young beginners just learning to hold the instrument, to advanced students preparing for auditions and competitions. My goal as a teacher is to help students develop a strong technical foundation while also nurturing their individual musical voice. I love being able to send students on their way for the day knowing that they put their best foot forward. Even if they did not come to a lesson prepared, being able to see growth in the small amount of time I'm with them is enough for me. I use Suziki Violin Method, Bastian for piano. I have also been developing my own method, and it's dependant in the students agenda. I encourage the building of reperatore early on. I have also used Liytle Einstein piano method and varies products produced by Hal Leonard. I find the students goals are very formative to the approach I choose to take. Sole students are doing the study for sheer personal enjoyment others are more serious and want to make a career out kf mus8c as they mature. Read More
