Instruments: Piano, Violin, Viola, Fiddle

I have played the viola at different gatherings, wedding, and talent shows, as well school performances from middle school through college. I love teaching. I encourage regular practice on a consistent schedule as of the key points for beginners. It is also important to me that students have fun while learning. If a student does not have fun while learning, then that means I am not doing my job correctly! Read More

Instruments: Violin, Viola

I was a part of my Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and Ensembles all four years I attended college. When I was younger, I was a part of a traveling music group varying ages 7-18. Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Violin, Cello, Viola, Trombone, Electric Violin, Double Bass, Music, Keyboard, Acoustic Guitar

My teaching philosophy revolved around the idea that music should be fun and engaging. While many teachers start their students off by learning how to read music, I like to begin with actually playing and familiarizing yourself with the instrument and later translating that information to written music notation. In your first lesson, we will play the instrument and learn a simple tune based on your skill level. I like to take into account the students music preference and learn what specifically they want to get out of private lessons. Read More

Instruments: Violin, Viola

As a teacher i encourage my students to keep improving and progressing to the best of their ability. While I can be strict, I always try to make lessons fun, especially for young children because it is essential to their learning capability that they enjoy learning their instrument. Students are given opportunities, words, and support to increase their self confidence while constantly challenging them so that they can make the greatest strides possible to their own personal level and learning speed. Instruments: Piano, Violin

For beginning piano students, I typically start with Faber's Piano Adventures. I also use these books as a foundation for intermediate students. After students have grasped the basics, I will talk with them to determine their interest in different musical styles and songs. I will then add in supplementary material to go alongside the Piano Adventures books to give them a broader range of musical ability. Violin lessons are a combination of the Suzuki Method and Strings Builders. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
