Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I'm a professional trumpet player who enjoys working with students of all experience levels and interests. I recently graduated with a Doctor of Musical Arts in Trumpet degree from the University of Michigan, where I was the Graduate Student Instructor in trumpet and Instructor of Trumpet. I'm fortunate to have performed with ensembles of a wide range of genres, including serving as Acting Principal Trumpet of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, second trumpet with the University of Michigan Brass Quintet, improviser with the International Contemporary Ensemble, among many others. For children, my foundational methods include Leonard, Krueger, Clarke, Arban, Reinhardt, Rizzetto, Pearson, and Rubank. Solo and ensemble repertoire is introduced at the appropriate time. Time is also spent on improvisation, writing original compositions, and learning music that the students have brought to the lesson. For adults, we focus on what students are interested in working on, regardless of their ability level.
