My teaching experience extends back to my high school days when I would teach students enrolled in our band new instruments. I also taught for three years from 2009 to 2012 in private studio. I encourage students to practice the suggested amount of time that I give to them each day. I am an experienced trombonist and teacher with degrees from the New England Conservatory and California State University at East Bay (MA in Music anticipated Fall 2020). I have been teaching since the 1990s, and performing all over the world since the early 2000s. My primary instrument is on trombone, but have had students on tuba, euphonium, and beginning trumpet as well. In 2006, my love for music began at Temecula Middle School, which is where I played clarinet for three years and performed in Disneyland and Las Vegas. In 2013, I graduated from Temecula Valley High School and I completed four years of marching band there. I was clarinet section leader for one year and also played with the Bravura Youth Symphony Orchestra outside of school for three years. I usually start my piano and vocal students with playing and singing both major and minor scales while using proper fingering and while breathing properly on this musical journey. On the other hand once a student shows and develops better fundamentail skills, then I'll start introducing intermediate musical concepts and ideals.
