Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Trumpet, Synthesizer, Ukulele, Music, Keyboard, Acoustic Guitar

My journey with music began at the age of five with some of the most inspirational teachers. At that time I never imagined that music would not only become my livelihood, but also that my passion for playing and teaching would grow so strong. I started studying music at Henryk Wieniawskis School of Music at age of 7 where I spent another 12 years learning piano, trumpet, vocal, music theory and related to music subjects. Read More

Peter P

Instruments: Violin, Trumpet

I strive to instill in my students the capacity to teach themselves; after all, it is in the practice room, not in the lesson studio, where the greatest leaps are made. Through a focus on sound and air, the embouchure is trained to be reliable and consistent. A strong foundation of fundamental mechanics and technique will open the doors to play any music in any style. Read More

Instruments: Guitar, Trumpet, Trombone, Flute, Clarinet, Tuba

For beginning students, I prefer to use Essential Elements by Bruce Pearson. This is the book I learned from and have been using to teach. As the students advance, I will pick or allow them to pick solos that will highlight their strengths as players. Read More

Instruments: Trumpet, French Horn

I even used the books for myself when I was learning how to play other instruments in college! Some books can look overwhelming for kids who are just beginning. For beginning piano students, I typically start with John W. Schuam's Piano Course: Pre-A (AKA "The Green Book) and John Thompson's "Note Speller" (AKA "The Red Book"). I do ask for all of my students to have a small manuscript book as well for notes and other fun exercises. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
