My first experience teaching someone was when I was younger in my high school days, I was teaching my 7 year old nephew how to play ukulele which was an arduous task indeed. But through said trails and tribulations we managed to accomplish our goals together. Currently Im teaching guitar at the fine arts academy and I am teaching one student consistently while also substituting occasionally. I have primarily been a church musician for the past 15 years, but have also played in drum and bugle corps, orchestra and concert style bands. My main instrument is the trumpet, having played for 35 years. I give lessons on all brass instruments, although trumpet is my primary. I can teach any style. I have played guitar for about 25 years and my primary focus is classical or accoustic. During my time at Pensacola Christian College, I learned how to teach lessons in brass, woodwind, percussion, and strings. Part of the requirements included student teaching where I taught third grade theory, high school band, private trumpet, and private clarinet lessons.
