I have been teaching in the NOVA area for a little over three years now. I started when I returned from out of state and have not looked back since. I have maintained a studio of about 10-15 students almost consistently after about a year of starting. My students have ranged widely in age, from elementary students to retired adults who have have wanted to learn an instrument. As a student, I know the difficulties of overcoming bad habits. For this reason, my teaching focuses on establishing and correcting these bad habits so that the student can focus on what they want to do, play music. The trumpet and most musical instruments are extremely unforgiving and will become jealous when left untouched for a long period of time.
