Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

My musical journey began at nine years old with piano lessons - not at all an uncommon beginning but an important one. Less than two years later I joined the band playing clarinet. As a high school student, all-state performances and honor bands fiilled many weekends, and I had the privilege of playing regularly in my church on the piano. While playing in a youth symphony as a senior, we toured in Austria absorbing centers of musical history and playing in four uniquely different venues including a wing of the Schonbrunn Palace. It's my goal to meet a student where they are, and maintain a big-picture mentality. I like to know what other interests they have so that I can draw parallels between those and music. While I am demanding of my students, I set high standards only because I am confident in a student's abilities. I'm a dedicated music performer and teacher who enjoys helping fellow music students. I'm currently the 2nd trombonist with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and regular member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. I've performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Elgin Symphony, Canton Symphony, Quad City Symphony, Rockford Symphony, West Michigan Symphony, and Illinois Symphony Orchestra. Although I do use method books such as Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, I like to tailor warm ups and fundamentals to each of my students. Then, I like to incorporate the fundamentals into familiar songs and exercises to keep the lessons engaging and fun.
