I received 2 bachelors degrees in music education and flute performance in May of 2017 from suny fredonia and my masters degree last September 2020 from SUNY Potsdam. I am a graduate of Texas Tech University. I began teaching privately in 1985 on the Lubbock ISD Music Tutorial Program. I went into the schools and taught students privately during class hours. I taught Tuba and Baritone Horn. In 1989 I began teaching with Lubbock Parks and Recreation in the community centers. This was more generalized. I taught Band Instruments, Voice, Guitar, Music Theory, Beginner Piano, Beginner Strings. I started teaching guitar lessons in 1999 (20 years this year!) Since those days I've gotten two degrees and taught at colleges, and private institutions, as well as high school and middle schools. I've found that combining textbook music instruction along with learning to play some of the music the student is listening to keeps them growing and engaged. I have been teaching lessons since I studied back in Thailand, Singapore, and United States. Currently, I am teaching high school and middle school in Dallas-Fort Worth area. Through teaching, I have enjoyed watching my students succeed and overcome their struggles. The process of experimentation has been a learning one for both my students and myself. During the first lesson, I get to know the student, find out their interests and determine which course will be the best start.
