For beginning piano students, I started with the Piano Adventures Series unless they show a higher than usual natural ability. If I see that are above average, I will switch them to the Modern Course for Piano by John Thompson. Along with these method books, I introduce solo music from classical to modern music. More recently, I have picked up teaching again and currently work with local students in the Piedmont Triad area.
