Music has always been my greatest passion. I became a teacher so I could spread that passion to my students and watch them succeed at something that they love. I believe it is important for all students to learn at their own pace and that is why I prefer the individual attention I can provide as a private lesson teacher over a classroom teacher. I have used and am open to a variety of band and piano methods. Essential Elements is ne of the best band instrument books, and I like the Fabre piano student book series. I Introduce solo and ensemble rep as quickly as possible also along with familiar tunes the student requests.older students and adults are canvasses as to where there musical interests lie. I am a freelance trombonist and composer in the Twin Cities area, performing across a wide variety of genres, including classical, jazz, pop, and latin music. I graduated in 2012 with a degree in Music Performance from Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minnesota, where I studied with Rick Gaynor and Dr. Jeremy Kolwinska. Prior to college I studied trombone under John Tranter.
