Originally from Thailand, I have performed in various professional and festival ensembles including around the world, including Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Tucson Pops, Arizona Opera, Ture Concord Voices and Orchestra, Akron Symphony Orchestra, Siam Philharmonic Orchestra, Bangkok Opera and Philharmonic Winds (Singapore). I was a member of Spoleto Festival USA in 2016 and 2017, and, in 2015, I participated in Aspen Music Festival. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my school studio for the last 5 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. My method of teaching is to start students with a strong foundation of buzzing and making characteristic sounds on the horn. This includes buzzing with and without the mouthpiece. Also, my students must be able to read music. Reading music is very important to me, having the students be musically literate with a decent tone will take a student far in their musical career. I am a Music Educator with a lot of trumpet playing experience. I have never stopped playing my trumpet. I practice my trumpet as time permits and perform every chance I have. I like to travel and study musical styles and instruments from different countries. I also love the outdoors. I am passionate about instrumental music and want my students to feel the same. My starting point for my students is typically having them practice posture, hand position and proper mouthpiece placement. After this has been satisfied, I have the students blow using a breathing exercise. From this, I have the students play the first three notes out of their Habits of Good Musician Book 1.
