My teaching experience started in college. I learned cello pedagogy from my cello professor at Drake University and have continued teaching cello since then and after I graduated. I also have extensive orchestra experience. Throughout elementary, middle, and high school I was a member of the South Dakota Symphony Youth Orchestra cello section. Younger/beginner students will interact with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements and some basic Suzuki training. Intermediate to advanced players will be assigned repertory that is a balance of healthy and challenging based on their strengths and weaknesses. All levels of students will interact with Jensen/Chung's CelloMind, scales, and other fundamental technical exercises.
