I started playing guitar as a kid in around 1996 and started playing live with bands in 1998. Since then I have had the privilege of playing.touring and doing session work. I started teaching at Encore music in Port Richey Florida in 1999 and since have done lessons on and off in varies formats. I've been lucky enough to perform all over the U.S. and a lot of Europe by touring with different bands in high school, college, and independent touring groups. I believe that the best way to learn how to play is to play what you like to listen to. Practicing the repertoire is as important as the mechanical and technical practices of the instrument. Based on this, I often try to identify the techniques used in the songs that the student likes and whenever possible, we work on the technical part applied to a given song.
