I'm a fairly new private lessons teacher finishing my Music Education/Composition Bachelor's degree. I have studied with some of the best flute and drumset players. I have performed many genres throughout my musical career. I have also played music for many different settings such as church, football, parades, celebrity shows, nonprofit organizations, rallys, and competitions. My approach stresses a thorough understanding of "the basics"... thoroughly defining the essential knowledge and skill(s) upon which everything else depends, and is built. Music is my gift. I am blessed with a natural ability which I have dedicated my life to learn, cultivate and nurture. To share this through teaching is rewarding. I teach students of all ages and levels. We have two recitals per year, which are unique and fun because of our wide variety of instruments and our group songs. I was a teacher in the public schools, and I wanted to be able to give more one-on-one attention to students. I wanted to be able to teach in a way that uplifts students and makes them excited about music. I also wanted to be able to make students feel comfortable and have fun. I have a degree from Vandercook College of Music in Music Education.
