I taught general music, choir, piano, and band in the public schools. I also worked in an after school youth orchestra, teaching woodwinds. Before that, I taught guitar to friends and some beginning students. I also helped my classmates who were learning guitar. I have mostly worked with beginners, and some more intermediate students. I have taught in the classroom setting and small group lessons, and some one-on-one lessons. I feel my greatest strength is teaching beginners and elementary aged students. Read More

I'm a fairly new private lessons teacher finishing my Music Education/Composition Bachelor's degree. I have studied with some of the best flute and drumset players. I have performed many genres throughout my musical career. I have also played music for many different settings such as church, football, parades, celebrity shows, nonprofit organizations, rallys, and competitions. I began teaching professionally in the Bay Area about 30 years ago. I have taught in a variety of settings includings classes, group lessons, in music stores, for school districts, at students' homes and in my own private studio. Every person learns differently and I am highly skilled at detecting this and using it to my students' advantage. My recitals not only present individual pieces, but also group works that encourage working together with other musicians which is a highly rewarding benefit of music. Read More
