I play piano for dance classes and dance majors who study both modern dance and ballet.   I am a composer, songwriter, piano player, recording artist, and producer.  I have released over ten albums since the year 2000.  Two of the releases are with the Monroe Institute which makes Hemi-Sync music to balance brain wave patterns and assist with learning, focus, creativity, and ADD.  I have released electronic music under my own name, and pop music under the name Bloom. Edward is a lead tenor who has performed roles ranging from The Mayor, in "Bye, Bye, Birdie" to Adonis, in John Blow's baroque opera, "Venus & Adonis".  As a flutist, his repertoire ranges from early music to that of living and contemporary composers, and he has taught private students and classes at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp(MI), the Oberlin(OH) City Schools, the Avon(OH) Public Schools, and the Livonia(MI) Public Schools. I've been playing piano for 45 years, and have taken private lessons a total of 15 years with three different teachers.  Music is my passion, and so is teaching, so it brings me a lot of joy to share this with my students.  Music has taken me down many avenues in my life, starting at a young age.  My family are all musicians, so it has been a constant in my life.  At one point I played for church, and as a teenager I played for a ballet class.  Like I mentioned before, I've done many weddings and funerals, and look for any opportunity to play piano. I've performed in bands on stage since the age of 16, and have written music for several bands, often as the primary singer, songwriter and front man. Presently I play bass in the death metal band Heretical Sect, who have been featured in Decibel magazine, but my interests in music lie within a spectrum of folk, classical, metal and rock. As a teacher and tutor I engage my students on their level, and find goals within their reach to keep them amped and eager to learn in a multifaceted context of composition, technical skill and performance.  Read More

Whenever I meet with someone, I feel it's always best to get to know them and ask them "why music?". From there it sparks a conversation, and we start setting goals - which is super important! This is how we check in with ourselves along the way to make sure that the student is getting the most out of their lessons.
