I began teaching privately in college. I also was a teacher assistant to a music teacher at a local elementary school during my undergraduate years. Now as a professional educator, I teach middle school choir, private piano/violin lessons, play for my church, and, at times, direct my church choir as well. Therefore, I really try to get to know my students so that I can better instruct them and help them attain their goals. I believe in positive reinforcement and try to inspire my students to "try again" when they do make mistakes and encourage them on their progress. I am excited about teaching Musika piano students. My passion to teach and share what I know about playing the piano comes from my experience as a child. At 7 years old I started taking formal piano lessons. I ended up going to college and majoring in Piano Performance. Performing in Europe came next for me after competing as a classical pianist. Now, I write my own solo piano pieces. I want to inspire my students to do the same--fall in love with practicing and playing the piano, find your own musical voice and reach for the stars! Read More
