Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I have a very classical approach to teaching. This means that I focus on mastery learning. I don't move a student to the next level without first seeing mastery of the skill being taught. I believe it is important that each student progress at their own pace, but I also believe in pushing towards difficult, but realistic goals. I make an effort to acknowledge their accomplishments and fostering an eagerness to learn even on the days were learning is hard. Read More

My methods include a combination of the Pace Method, Alfred, Bastien, Faber and Hal Leonard Methods, and most recently the Helen Marlais method for succeeding at the piano. For students that are really serious about achievement and study, I am able to work with them to take the ABRSM exams. Sometimes parents want to give their children the experience of setting high musical goals, working toward musical deadlines and reaching a high standard of achievement at the piano. Read More

In 2018, I graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Music Education with an emphasis in piano. In 2020, I completed my Master in Music degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance at Samford University. From 2020-2022, I held a position of Instructor of Piano at University of Louisiana at Monroe where I taught private piano lessons, group piano classes, and piano pedagogy courses. Read More

A Memphis native, Stephen L. studied with legendary Jazz pianist Donald Brown at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville before heading to New York City to finish his studies and further hone his skills in some of the most well-known jazz venues in the world.
