My teaching experience began while I was in college taking music education coursework and working as a music tutor for a local middle school band program. After graduating in 2013 I have taught more than 300 hours of private music lessons to students of all ages. Because all students have a unique style of mearning, at any age, I usually choose music that fits the student's ability at that time. If a student has a special request to learn a certain song, we discuss if it will be appropriate for them, or if they have to work up to that level. Hello! I am a highly motivated private instructor that loves to share my passion of music to all. I graduated from Emporia State University in May 2023 with my Master of Music degree in Flute Performance. During my time at ESU I was in the marching band (piccolo/trumpet), Hornet Revue (piccolo), Jazz Ensemble (piano), Wind Ensemble (principal flute/piccolo), symphony orchestra (principal flute), fall musicals, and flute choir.
