The one aspect of teaching I love the most is seeing other students develop a passion for it. Every students learns at their own pace, but this doesn't come without hard work. My teaching experience began while I was in college taking music education coursework and working as a music tutor for a local middle school band program. After graduating in 2013 I have taught more than 300 hours of private music lessons to students of all ages. I have also taught group music lessons, K-6 general music and choir for a homeschool music program in addition to music theory lessons. In these lessons we would cover fundamentals, warm-ups, theory, classic literature, etudes, and any fun songs that they wanted! For beginning students I love to take the chance to get to know them and their musical preferences. My teaching methods are a lot different from standardized teaching methods that being that I want you to sing songs that you want to sing. For more advanced students I want to give you the benefit of the doubt and let you also pick your music however I do work you a little harder in order to get your voice or instrument to the place it needs to be or the goal you've set for yourself and you want it to be.
