Students are encouraged to pursue music in the way that will keep them engaged reaping maximum benefits whether that be to build parts of their brain that would have otherwise lie dormant, or become the best solo performer they can be. I understand how tiresome it can be to only work on etudes and exercises, so as long as they're putting in the work on these, I like to add something a little more fun to keep them going. I want my students to have fun and enjoy themselves during our time together, but I also want to help them discover the courage and confidence within them that will help turn their lessons into lifetime expressions of beauty and freedom.
