Im a energetic, knowledgeable, and motivated music instructor that lives to teach music to anybody. I graduated from Louisiana State University with a music performance degree. I started my first band Director position after I graduated from LSU in 2008. I was blessed to help a band grow from 12 to 39 in the 3 years I was there. I am extremely passionate about music and have been driven my whole life, so I show my passion in my teaching by my exuberant and fun teaching style. I like to focus on long term and short term projects to build confidence in a variety of ways. I expect regular practice if not daily, and I ask questions during lessons to stimulate critical thinking. I don’t rush my students; instead, I allow them to grow at a pace that’s best for them. At the beginning of our lessons, I take time to understand who they are, their goals, and what motivates them.
