Hi I'm Kyle, a current jazz studies major at the University of Arkansas. I have been playing electric bass for about nine years and I also have experience with guitar, drums, voice, and mandolin. I started off playing rock and other adjacent genres, but quickly moved more towards jazz. I am extremely passionate about music and have been driven my whole life, so I show my passion in my teaching by my exuberant and fun teaching style. I like to focus on long term and short term projects to build confidence in a variety of ways. I expect regular practice if not daily, and I ask questions during lessons to stimulate critical thinking. I graduated most recently from the University of North Texas with a doctorate degree in vocal performance. I am currently a PhD student there focusing on Performing Arts Health.
