However, I don't think of my students as subjects to this knowledge, but as shapers and creators of unspoken literature, one that speaks and connects with them. For beginner students, they learn through the Suzuki method, parents are to take notes during lessons so that they can effectively help their child at home. For parents of children ages 2-4, the parent is encouraged to learn the violin as well. This is so that the Suzuki Triangle works effectively. Parents play a key role in every aspect of their child's learning and development of their violin skills. After the student has completed Suzuki Violin School book 1, I then add supplemental music for them to learn and if the student is older, they are encouraged to choose styles, genres, etc. Read More
