I am a caring and motivated instructor of violin who loves working with students of all ages and sharing my love of music. In 1993 I graduated from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma with a Bachelor's in Music Education with emphasis in music therapy. I like to focus a lot on the basics, on mastering a connection with the mechanics of the bow and left hand. I don't focus too much on songs unless the student is ready or would take the implications of the challenge seriously. I am a composer and current Logic Pro X learner, so I like to share and talk about sound in many contexts. I started teaching lessons in high school to other students. I've been teaching privately for nearly 20 years now. I have worked for public and private schools teaching music lessons and ensemble groups. I was a graduate teaching assistant during my masters degree and taught technique and etude lessons weekly to undergraduate flute students.
