I was invited to be an instructor in 2008 and started after I completed my first pedagogy class in Suzuki Violin with the Jonesboro Suzuki Institute in Arkansas in August of 2010. I am currently teaching both children and adults virtually as they all live more than 100 miles away. These three students have been with me for more than 5 years, including 1 adult. I studied ethnomusicology and Japanese music in graduate school, so my teaching style is inclusive and diverse. I have been performing in orchestra since the age of 15 and have performed in ensembles such as band, world music, Latin music, jazz, electronic music, and more.
