I was invited to be an instructor in 2008 and started after I completed my first pedagogy class in Suzuki Violin with the Jonesboro Suzuki Institute in Arkansas in August of 2010. I am currently teaching both children and adults virtually as they all live more than 100 miles away. These three students have been with me for more than 5 years, including 1 adult. I am a Bolivian violinist/composer who grew up homeschooled with my two parents being educators. They would always emphasize the idea of the impossibility of teaching someone, meaning that I would have to teach myself before every class with them. Further in life, I was able to build reading, practice, and exercise habits due to this dynamic. After finishing high school at 16, my violin professor asked me to help him with students, something that I never thought of doing, but I agreed if the classes would not be with the professor-student dynamic. I started teaching lessons in high school to other students. I've been teaching privately for nearly 20 years now. I have worked for public and private schools teaching music lessons and ensemble groups. I was a graduate teaching assistant during my masters degree and taught technique and etude lessons weekly to undergraduate flute students.
