My methods of teaching change with each student. All individuals learn differently. I start by seeing where each individual is and how they react to the material. For beginning students, I start with basic embouchure, breathing techniques, and fundamentals. As they progress I then move towards scales and repertoire that each student can use to build themselves. If my students are middle/high school aged, I always encourage them to audition for All-Region and to experience competition with their age groups. I help them build on the material that they are given in school and give them a different perspective on how to grow. Read More
