I'm a dedicated and passionate educator and advocate for the arts, who loves teaching students music. I have been teaching instrumental music on a secondary level for 18 years, I studied Music Education at Morehouse College also Theater Performance at Columbia College, and I currently just completed my Ph.D from the University of Arizona. For beginning students, I start with basic embouchure, breathing techniques, and fundamentals. As they progress I then move towards scales and repertoire that each student can use to build themselves. If my students are middle/high school aged, I always encourage them to audition for All-Region and to experience competition with their age groups.
