I have been teaching since I was 18. I strongly encourage at least 10-30 minutes a day of practice. I believe in experiencing the JOY in music, but it does require discipline and work. I can also help with compositional ideas, as I took 2 years of composition as my secondary applied area of study for my bachelor's degree. My teaching experience starts when I was in high school. I taught private lessons as well as the lead instructor in our percussion class granted by the director. When I was in high school, I wrote to percussion scores for our marching shows. In my senior year, I was picked up by a musical touring group, and I was able to play drum set with professionals.
