Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I have been teaching since I was 18. I strongly encourage at least 10-30 minutes a day of practice. I believe in experiencing the JOY in music, but it does require discipline and work. I can also help with compositional ideas, as I took 2 years of composition as my secondary applied area of study for my bachelor's degree. I believe that one of the most important things a musician can do is to find and develop their own voice on their instrument. Listening to the greats like Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorius, Jimi Hendrix, and Chick Corea illustrate how a unique voice can manifest itself and make the music so much more powerful. My methods of teaching change with each student. All individuals learn differently. I start by seeing where each individual is and how they react to the material. We first learn basics and move as fast as the individual can or wants to. I want all my students to play pieces by themselves and with others (not just the same instruments).
