I'm a New York based multi-instrumentalist eager to share the craft of making music. I have been performing and teaching professionally for 15 years, since having moved to New York to study at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. There, I learned many styles of music and skills that I use to this day while performing. As a teacher, Matthew has worked with a variety of styles and ensembles, including the Guthrie HS Marching Band (Guthrie, OK), the Morris HS Jazz Band (Morris, OK), the Frontiers New Music Ensemble (Stillwater, OK), and the Oklahoma State Symphonic Band (Stillwater, OK) among many other chamber groups. I hold degrees from the University of Missouri- Kansas City, studying with Professor Zachary Shemon and from Montclair State University, studying with Professor Stacy Wilson.
