Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I fell in love with playing music when I was handed a flute by my teacher in the sixth grade. Twice I marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with the Great American Marching Band. In High School I played a concerto on flute with the string orchestra and had the opportunity to conduct the concert band. Since then I have had the opportunity to play with various ensembles at Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York. As a student, I attended the Jamey Aebersold summer jazz workshops, and was subsequently trained by Mr. Aebersold on how to specifically teach jazz improvisation. I became a teacher at his workshops and have since taught at many others.
