Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. As a starting musician, I personally would go with the Hal Leonard's Essential Elements 2000. It is a great way to start the student because the book breaks how to learn how music in appropriate steps. As someone who is in junior high leading into high school, I love to use scales, smooth air movement, flexibility for band, scale fluency, chromatic scales, improve exercise, and performing tip exercises.
