I base my materials depending on who my student is, what level they are at, their interests, and their goals.  We will focus on building a proper foundation and every aspect of music making including posture, embouchure, breath support, articulation, phrasing, intonation, performances, and more.  Every student will have lessons directly tailored toward their needs. Nothing is more rewarding then seeing a student from many years ago either talk about when they had lessons with me or see them playing somewhere either live or online. I have had many students continue to play when they entered college just for fun and a way of meeting people with similar interests. I graduated from Messiah College in 2013 with a Bachelor of the Arts, and I received my Master's of Music Education from Boston University in 2019. As an educator I aim to introduce my students to skills that may be applied to life outside the practice room. I teach them to communicate, build confidence, and most importantly, develop patience. In 2013 I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a master's degree in saxophone performance. Prior to this, in 2011, I graduated from the University of Calgary with a bachelor's degree in the same field.
