My methods of teaching change with each student. All individuals learn differently. I start by seeing where each individual is and how they react to the material. We first learn basics and move as fast as the individual can or wants to. I want all my students to play pieces by themselves and with others (not just the same instruments). Im always wanting my students to be a well rounded individual in music and in life. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with the Standard of Excellence Method Book 1. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lesson engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

Whether the lesson will start with jamming over popular songs or listening in on an original by the student; Read More
