I have been teaching private lessons for over 8 years. Some of my students competed in state solo and ensemble competitions and received Gold and Silver awards. Other students have participated in recitals, music camps, and marching bands. Before I started giving lessons, I volunteered with a community group in Indiana called the Phillips Music Guild of Indianapolis. For beginning students, we usually focus on the "Essential Elements" workbooks; however, I may need need to make alterations depending on the needs of the student. The goal is for the student to learn while simultaneously showing interest and curiosity for the future.
