Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. My experience with doing private lessons started when my last year at Bethune Cookman to earn a little extra cash in my pocket. I started out teaching beginning elementary students which sharpened up my skills for basic knowledge of the saxophone. As time progressed I started to teach intermediate student so that they can develop the tone and basic technique. In 2000, I left medical school to pursue music and have never regretted the decision!  I went on to receive my bachelor's in 2004 and master's in 2012, both in instrumental music education.  I recently relocated to South Tampa after being a full time 4th-8th band director for 10 years in Chicago.  I also taught kindergarten music and K-3rd group piano.  I have been teaching private lessons on all instruments for 13 years, with an average of 10 students per week in my studio.
